February Newsletter
2010 has started off with a bang. The Stumptown Slosh Series sold out the first two events and the third event is filling quickly. We added 20 members in January and are getting VERY close to issuing member number 300. Not bad for a club that has only been around for just under three years. We also have 88 members that have already renewed for 2010.
Planning is already well underway for the Beaver State Fling and the Rose City Open. There is also a plan in the works to host a state championship event in the fall at Trojan. Stumptown continues to help develop the L.L. Stub Stewart State Park course and is consulting with a group in Astoria, Oregon to design and build a course.
February Meeting
Want to know more about what is happening in the world of Disc Golf in the Portland Metro area and beyond? Then join us at Next Adventure next Tuesday, February 9th at 7:30 p.m. Next Adventure always takes care of us with food and beverage and you can take advantage of a special club discount if you finish your shopping between the time the store closes at 7 p.m. and the start of the meeting. Whether you are a new member or a founding member please consider coming out and showing your support for the club.
Time to renew
If you haven't paid for your membership for 2010, please consider doing this online before the meeting. Each 2010 member receives a membership card with their name and membership number printed on the card. If you don't pay before the meeting we cannot guarantee that your card will be available for pick up at the meeting. Also, 2010 bag tags are available for the season already. The first bag tag event was the Winter Hoedown and the second event will be the By the Bottle - Wash Slosh in Vancouver, February 20th. Pay for your tag online and pick it up at the meeting too!
